Connecting the Dots

A new managment approach

Connecting the Dots is a concept designed to create a maximum level of collaboration between the different spheres of life concerning an individual. It is about establishing a new management approach, while embracing the existing resources provided by the government for the benefit of the local population. “Connecting the Dots” incorporates all the programs and budgets into a single system, thus allowing the establishment of a  singular address or access point in which the individual can report and request services and support. In addition, it includes a special program for improving the economic and social wellbeing in the region in three major areas: production, marketing & finance, and social health & education.

"Connecting the Dots" is about establishing a new management approach, while embracing the existing resources provided by the government for the benefit of the local population. Jethro's model is based on the Israeli experience known as the “Regional Council” – a municipal council of agricultural communities, which is led by a "Council Manager" who manages the entire economic activity in the area, taking responsibility for all the national, regional and state level programs and budgets.

Connecting the Dots is a concept designed to create a maximum level of collaboration between the different spheres of life concerning an individual. It is done by creating a link between the professional, financial services and support an individual receives and the social, educational and health services his family enjoys, all for the sake of his own personal welfare.

Connecting the Dots - India

The Yavatmal Project

'Connecting the dots' concept was shaped following a comprehensive study of the challenges in Yavatmal district. This project presents a new approach that puts the restructuring of the Taluka management, and the re-planning of the infrastructure investments at the same urgency as the introduction of advanced technology and social services. "Connecting the dots" aims to embrace the existing resources while modifying the current organizational structure, aiming to include a clear address for the villagers in order to make these resources more effective and approachable. We create a link between the professional guidance, financial services and support an individual receives and the social, educational and health services his/her family enjoys, all  aimed to increase his/her own personal welfare.

"Connecting the Dots” recruits all the programs and budgets into a single system, thus synchronizing between the various stakeholders and allowing the establishment of a Single Point of Contact (SPC), a singular address or access point in which the individual can report and request services and support. We want to streamline and simplify the way in which individuals and families are assisted. The program is currently designated to district level management structure, yet it is flexible and can be adapted easily to local social structures and needs (e.g., the YAVATAMAL project).

Beyond the managerial structure proposed, in "Connecting the Dots" we develop a special program for improving the economic and social wellbeing in the region. We focus in three major areas:

Production- mainly in the field crops and livestock sectors. We can supply tools for improving infrastructure and know-how.

Marketing and financing- creating parallel chains for marketing the produce, improvement of post harvesting processes and consulting the farmers on how to manage the micro finance he may have.

Social health and education- turning the existing supporting social health and education posts into professional and well-coordinated nets that function as "safety nets", enabling social changes for the family and village.
