Waste Management

Incorporation of professional smart services and products of waste treatment and education

Waste management incorporates three main ingredients: reducing, reusing and the recycling of waste. In order to address all of them we work in two parallel and complementary axes: professional smart services and products of waste treatment, and education.

Waste treatment

The waste treatment process consists of three general stages: waste collection, transfer stations and landfills. Despite these fixed systematic stages, we at Jethro provide customized services and products tailor made to the client's needs. Our solutions are innovative and vary within the different elements of each stage and as for the general concept of waste treatment.

The smart solution – waste containers are equipped with microchips that measure the fill-level of waste containers and a cloud service forecasts when bins become full and optimize the collection routes and schedules. The routes are then delivered to the drivers' cellular enabled tablet, which guides him along the route. This is a significant time saver and efficiency enhancer. Moreover, the whole process of the waste treatment can be monitored from a control room and online updates are available at any stage of the process.

Waste collection – several products offer a complete solution for waste collection, starting from standard huge bins for trash, underground waste containers, to waste compactors and recycling facilities. Solutions are tailor-made and can be adapted to any size and purpose of the project.

Transfer station – The Transfer Stations are strategically located to accept waste from the collection trucks. At these Transfer Stations, waste is consolidated, compacted, and loaded into long-haul trailers for transport to landfills or recycling centers. This operation improves the utilization of collection equipment by minimizing transportation time and efficiently moving large volumes of waste to the landfill.

Education

We believe that waste management is not just a technical issue and education is an essential factor in its success. Educating children about the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling of waste and the way it saves the environment at an early age can have a significantly positive effect.

We provide educational information, lesson plans, educational activities and informative video clips that target the children, in order to provide them with environmental awareness from a young age.

Education does not stop when the children become grownups. Public awareness is another very important tier of education for environmental protection. Different means of publication- TV commercials, billboard signs, social media etc. are used in order to deliver the message of how important it is to treat waste in a smart and saving manner.

The combination of education of the young with increased public awareness will guarantee the success of the complete waste management solution, enhance the efficiency of the waste treatment and eventually bring cleaner streets and fresher air.

With the consistent growth in population, comes growth in consumption and consequently, growth in waste. Failure to provide waste treatment creates critical implications, which include social and economic effects. Handling waste is very complex, and can often be inefficient or even harmful. Therefore, it requires professional treatment.
